About us

Computational Approaches for Understanding Audio and Music

Based at Brooklyn College, City University of New York, LUMaA brings together researchers and approaches from music, computer science, and psychology to study humans engage with music and how computers can be used to model and augment our understanding of this engagement. We are also interested in computational audio understanding more broadly, as well as how human learning practices can inform the development and evaluation of machine learning models.
